Corrections, Updates & Retractions Policy
At MaMITs News, accuracy and trust matter to us. We work carefully to ensure that our reporting is factual, fair, and properly reviewed before publication. However, mistakes can happen. When they do, we are committed to correcting them quickly and transparently.
This page explains how we handle corrections, updates, clarifications, and retractions.
Our Commitment to Accuracy
We aim to publish journalism that is accurate, responsible, and based on verified information. Every article goes through editorial review before publishing, but if an error is discovered later, we take it seriously and work to correct it as soon as possible.
Being transparent about mistakes is part of maintaining trust with our readers.

Some issues may take additional time if they require further reporting, verification, or editorial review. Our priority is to make sure changes are accurate and properly handled.
Corrections, Updates & Clarifications
Corrections
A correction is made when factual information in an article is wrong.
This may include:
- Incorrect names, dates, or figures
- Misquoted statements
- Reporting errors or inaccurate information
For meaningful factual corrections, we may place a visible Correction Notice at the top or bottom of the article explaining what changed.
Example:
“Correction: An earlier version of this article included an incorrect date. The article has been updated with the correct information.”
Updates
An update happens when new information becomes available after an article is published.
Examples include:
- New developments in a story
- Official statements added later
- Updated data or announcements
Updated articles may include a note or revised timestamp where appropriate.
Clarifications
A clarification is made when wording could confuse readers, even if the original reporting was factually correct.
This may include:
- Adding missing context
- Rewording unclear explanations
- Improving understanding of technical or sensitive topics
Clarifications help make reporting clearer without changing the core facts.
Visible Correction Notices
When significant factual corrections are made, MaMITs News may add a visible correction note to explain what was changed.
Minor fixes such as spelling, grammar, formatting, or small typographical errors typically do not receive formal notices unless they affect the meaning of the story.
We do not believe in quietly changing major factual errors without informing readers.
Retractions Policy
In rare situations, MaMITs News may fully retract an article.
This may happen if:
- Serious factual errors are discovered
- Key information cannot be verified
- Editorial or ethical standards were not followed
- New evidence significantly changes the accuracy of the story
If a story is retracted, we will clearly explain that it has been removed or withdrawn and provide context when appropriate.
We do not silently delete major editorial content.
Corrections Archive
We may maintain a record of major corrections or editorial updates for transparency.
Routine edits such as grammar fixes, formatting changes, or technical improvements are generally not included.
