01 · The problem
Because both quietly eat profit. A printed menu batch in India typically costs 3,000 to 8,000 rupees, and most restaurants reprint two to four times a year when prices change, GST rates move, or a dish gets dropped. That is 6,000 to 32,000 rupees a year spent on paper that is outdated the day a supplier raises onion prices. Add laminated cards that tear, stained pages that embarrass you in front of guests, and the FSSAI menu labelling rules from 2022 that expect calorie counts, allergen notes and veg or non veg marks on every menu. Updating all of that on paper means another reprint. Updating it on a digital menu means thirty seconds in an admin panel.
The software side is no better. Most restaurant QR ordering systems in India are subscriptions. Full POS platforms commonly land between 25,000 and 40,000 rupees per outlet per year once you add the QR menu, kitchen display and inventory modules. Global QR menu tools charge 38 to 119 dollars per month, and some price per table, so a bigger dining hall means a bigger bill. Others take a commission on every single order. The menu keeps working the same way it did on day one, but the invoices never stop.
There is a third cost that owners feel only later: the data. On cloud platforms your menu, your order history and your customers' mobile numbers live on someone else's server, under someone else's terms. Stop paying and you lose access to your own restaurant's history. ScanDine was built as the answer to all three problems at once.
02 · The answer
❧ Quick answer
ScanDine is a self hosted, white label QR code menu and ordering system for Indian restaurants, made by MaMITs in Bhopal. You buy it once, we install it on your hosting in minutes, and you get a full digital menu, live order board, GST billing and QR generator with no monthly fees and no commission.
The guest journey is simple. A customer sits down, scans the QR sticker on table 4, and your menu opens instantly in their phone browser. They filter veg only if they like, pick Paneer Tikka, choose half or full, add a remark like less spicy, and place the order. Your live order board rings, the kitchen starts cooking, the guest watches a live status timeline, and at the end a proper GST bill with CGST and SGST split prints on your 72mm thermal printer. No waiter running back and forth with a notepad, no wrong orders from a noisy dining hall.
The word white label matters. ScanDine carries your restaurant's name, your logo, your brand colours and your chosen template. Guests see your brand, not ours. And self hosted means the software and database sit on hosting you control. At a flat 2,999 rupees a year it costs less than a single printed menu batch, and the software, the database and every setting stay fully in your hands.
Scan → browse → order → GST bill
03 · Features
ScanDine ships as one complete system: a customer ordering app that opens from the QR, and an admin panel with eleven working modules. Every feature below is in the current build and covered by 294 automated tests. Nothing here is a roadmap promise.
Scan the table QR and the full menu opens in the browser within seconds, even on cheap phones. It also installs on the guest’s home screen like an app, carrying your own logo and name.
Veg, non veg and egg marks on every dish, exactly as FSSAI labelling expects, plus a one tap VEG filter that hides everything else for pure veg guests.
Half and full portions with separate prices, offer price with the MRP struck through, remark chips like less spicy or Jain, and a custom note box for anything else.
Rotating promo banners, a featured dish carousel, combo offers, and one tap coupons at checkout with live discount preview. Your specials sell themselves.
After placing an order the guest gets 30 seconds to make a change or confirm now, then follows a live status timeline from accepted to served. Fewer cancellations, fewer arguments.
One tap pings reach your staff instantly, so guests never sit waving at a busy dining hall. Returning guests are greeted by name after their first order.
A six column kanban that refreshes every 2.5 seconds and rings a long alarm until a new order is accepted. One click moves an order from accept to preparing, ready, served and billed.
72mm thermal bills with your GSTIN, CGST and SGST split, service charge as fixed or percent, round off and duplicate reprint. KOT printing for the kitchen is built in.
Categories, products, combos, banners and coupons with search and pagination everywhere. Stock switch hides a dish the moment it runs out. Price changes go live instantly on every table.
Bulk generate secure QR codes for tables, rooms and counters, download PNGs, and print a ready A4 sheet in English and Hindi. Regenerate any token whenever you want.
Owner, manager and reception roles see only what they should. Live orders can be edited with server side re pricing, and every edit and cancellation is logged with a reason.
Date range sales, GST and service charge collected, discounts, cancellations, top items and payment modes, all exportable to CSV for your accountant.
The live order board your kitchen watches
When MaMITs releases a new ScanDine build, you upload one zip file inside your own admin panel. The system backs itself up, syntax checks every file, rejects broken builds automatically, migrates the database and preserves your menu, media, settings and QR codes. If anything ever looks wrong, a rollback point is already waiting. Enterprise grade update discipline, on a shared hosting budget.
04 · Templates
Six professionally designed menu templates ship with every licence, and you can switch between them any time from Settings. Most self hosted QR menu scripts stop at three or four skins, and most SaaS tools give you exactly one. With ScanDine a fine dining rooftop, a college cafe and a highway dhaba can all look like themselves. Your brand colours and logo apply across every template, and guests can never change the design you lock in.

05 · The maths
❧ Quick answer
Subscription QR menu tools in India cost anywhere from about 3,600 rupees a year for a basic menu to 25,000 to 40,000 rupees a year for POS bundles, plus commissions on some platforms. ScanDine is a flat 2,999 rupees per year per restaurant, which works out to about 250 rupees a month with every feature unlocked, and basic web hosting of a few hundred rupees a month is all you maintain besides that.
| What you run | Typical cost pattern | 3 year outflow | After you stop paying |
|---|---|---|---|
| Printed menus | ₹3,000 to 8,000 per batch, 2 to 4 reprints a year | ₹18,000 to 96,000 | Old menus in the dustbin |
| POS suite with QR add on | ₹25,000 to 40,000 per outlet per year | ₹75,000 to 1,20,000 | Access ends, data locked in their cloud |
| Global SaaS QR menu | $38 to $119 per month, some price per table | Roughly ₹1,10,000 to 3,50,000 | Menu goes offline |
| ScanDine flat licence | ₹2,999 per year flat, MaMITs installs it for you | ₹8,997 + your own hosting only | Keeps running. It is yours. |
The pattern is easy to see. Heavy subscriptions charge you thousands every month for software that already works. ScanDine charges a flat 2,999 rupees a year, which is about 250 rupees a month, or roughly 8 rupees a day, with every feature unlocked from day one. Restaurants that plan to be in business for years, which is every serious restaurant, are exactly who this model favours. And because there is no per order commission and no per table pricing, growing your covers never grows your software bill.
06 · Comparison
These are capable platforms and they suit certain businesses, especially large chains that want a full cloud POS. The comparison below is about a different question: what does an independent restaurant, cafe or hotel actually pay, and what does it actually own? Prices are public list patterns at the time of writing and can change, so treat them as indicative.
| Question | ScanDine | Cloud POS suites | Global SaaS QR menus | Ordering platforms | Marketplace scripts |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | Flat ₹2,999 per year | Annual subscription | Monthly, often per table | Quote based, transaction economics | One time licence |
| Monthly fees | None | ₹25,000 to 40,000 a year with add ons | $38 to $119 a month | Not public | None |
| Commission per order | Zero | No, but add ons stack | No | Low single digit on transactions | Zero |
| Where your data lives | Your own hosting | Their cloud | Their cloud | Their cloud | Your hosting |
| Menu templates | 6, switchable anytime | One skin | One skin, colour tweaks | One skin | Usually 3 to 4 |
| White label branding | Full, logo to colours | Partial | On higher plans | Partial | Varies |
| GST bill with CGST SGST split | Built in, thermal print | Yes | Generic tax fields | Yes | Varies, often generic |
| Installation | 2 minute wizard, done for you | Onboarding team | Cloud signup | Sales led onboarding | Often manual server work |
| Support across India | Pan India, direct from the makers on WhatsApp and phone, in Hindi or English | Remote helpdesk | Foreign, email | Remote | Marketplace tickets |
Against the marketplace style self hosted scripts sold on global code stores, which are ScanDine's closest relatives, the difference is delivery. Those scripts are sold worldwide to developers; you handle your own hosting, installation, updates and broken English support tickets. ScanDine is delivered done for you by an Indian company you can call, with reference restaurants a short drive away.
07 · Why owners choose us
Best is an easy word to print and a hard one to earn, so judge it the way a working restaurant should: what the software costs over the years, who owns it and the data inside it, how much faster the floor runs on a busy evening, and whether a real person answers when something needs attention. ScanDine was designed to win each of those four tests, and that is why the first owners who tried it kept recommending it to other restaurants without being asked.
№ 1
Best on total cost
A flat 2,999 rupees per year per restaurant with everything unlocked. That is about 250 rupees a month, less than one printed menu batch, and a fraction of what a typical POS subscription collects every single year.
№ 2
Best on ownership
Pure white label with 100 percent super admin access on your own hosting. Your brand on every screen, your data in your own database, every setting under your control. No landlord between you and your menu.
№ 3
Best on daily operations
Orders reach the kitchen in seconds carrying their table, room or counter tag, bills print with the correct GST split, and the live order board keeps a noisy dining hall running without one shouted order.
№ 4
Best on support
You talk to the team that wrote the code, on WhatsApp and phone, in Hindi or English, anywhere in India. Top rated support is easy to claim, so message us before you buy and time the reply yourself.
If you are shortlisting the top QR menu ordering systems in India this month, put ScanDine on that list and hold every option to the same four tests. We are confident about where it lands, and we would rather prove it in a ten minute demo than in an adjective.
08 · Who it is for
One licence covers every format a food business in India runs, because a location in ScanDine is simply a QR code with a tag. Generate a QR, tag it as a table, room, counter, indoor hall or outdoor lawn, print it, and every order arrives with that tag attached. The same admin panel runs a twenty table family restaurant and a two hundred room hotel.
Dine in restaurants
Table QR ordering ends the notepad rounds. Guests order and reorder without waving for a waiter, and average bills grow because photos and add ons sell quietly on every table.
Cafes and bakeries
Counter QRs handle walk up ordering, so queues stay short at rush hour, and the coupon engine keeps students and regulars coming back through the week.
Hotels and resorts
Room service without a phone call. The QR in room 204 sends orders tagged room 204 straight to the kitchen, while the restaurant floor runs on the same live board.
Food courts
Counter tagged QRs let every stall take direct orders without shared staff, and guests order from their seat instead of standing in three lines with a tray.
Bars and lounges
Dim lighting and loud music are exactly where wrong orders happen. Phone ordering with remarks like less ice or make it strong fixes that quietly.
Cloud kitchens and QSRs
Your menu link works in any browser, so it doubles as a direct ordering channel you own outright, with zero commission going to anyone on any order.
We deliver and support ScanDine across India: Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Indore, Bhopal, Nagpur, Raipur, Gwalior, Jabalpur and every smaller town in between, in Hindi or English. Our first 15+ live outlets are across Madhya Pradesh, which is why owners searching for QR menu software in Bhopal or a digital menu in Indore can visit a running installation before they buy. Wherever you are, installation happens remotely on your hosting and takes minutes, not days.
10 · The ninety second story
Numbers on a features page are one thing. A busy Saturday evening is another. This is the timeline our restaurants see every night, and it is the honest answer to why contactless menu ordering in India has moved from novelty to habit.
8:14 pm. A guest scans the QR on table 6.
The QR code menu opens in the phone browser in about two seconds. No app to download, no account to create. The guest filters veg only, opens the Paneer Tikka photo, picks half portion and types a remark: less spicy. The table tag rides silently with everything.
8:15 pm. The kitchen already has the order.
The live order board rings once and shows table 6, two items, one remark. Nobody walked to a counter, nobody misheard anything over the music. The guest watches a live status timeline move from placed to preparing while the conversation at the table carries on.
8:21 pm. Food on the table, GST bill ready.
The runner carries the dish straight to table 6 because the tag says so. When the guest asks for the bill, it prints on the thermal printer with the CGST and SGST split already correct, and the order sits in your reports before the table is even cleared.

A ScanDine dining room on a Saturday evening
Multiply that seven minute loop across every table, every evening, and you have the real case for a restaurant QR ordering system: faster table turns, fewer wrong orders, bigger average bills, and a paper trail your accountant will actually thank you for. That is what 2,999 rupees a year buys.
11 · Getting started
From first WhatsApp message to guests ordering from their tables, most single outlets go live within a day. The software itself installs in about two minutes through a white label wizard; the rest is your menu data and printed QRs.
1
Tell us your outlet type and table count. We show you a live demo menu on your own phone and answer everything, in Hindi or English.
2
The wizard checks the server, sets up your own database, and creates your owner login. Any basic web hosting works; we can arrange hosting too if you need it.
3
Pick one of the 6 templates, upload your logo, set GST and service charge, and add categories, dishes, photos, combos and coupons. The image tool optimises every photo automatically.
4
Generate table, room or counter QRs, print the bilingual A4 sheet, stick them on tables and start taking orders the same evening.
12 · Compliance
Yes, from the ground up, because it was built here. Indian diners already live on QR codes: urban QR adoption in India is estimated at 68 to 72 percent, and a Mastercard commissioned survey found more than half of Indian transactions now happen through QR codes. Since mid 2025, FSSAI requires every licensed food business, from restaurants and cafes to dhabas and cloud kitchens, to display the Food Safety Connect QR code prominently. Your guests scan QRs every single day. ScanDine simply puts your menu on the other side of that habit.
Compliance details that foreign tools get wrong are handled properly. GST can be switched on or off, set inclusive or exclusive, and bills show your GSTIN with the CGST and SGST split that Indian tax law expects. Service charge is a setting you control, as a fixed amount or a percentage, which matters now that courts have ruled against automatic service charges. Veg, non veg and egg marks follow the FSSAI labelling style. Mobile numbers are validated as Indian 10 digit numbers. Even the printable QR sheet is bilingual, English and Hindi, for staff and guests alike.
And because the customer app is plain fast HTML that loads in a phone browser, it works smoothly on the budget Android phones your real guests carry, not just on flagship devices in a demo video.

13 · Proof
More than 15 restaurants across Madhya Pradesh run ScanDine today, from family dining halls in Bhopal to cafes in Indore. Our client contracts do not allow us to publish their names publicly, and we would rather be straight about that than invent testimonials. What we can do is describe real deployments, and connect you directly with a running client on WhatsApp so you can hear it first hand before you buy.
Family restaurant · Bhopal
A 40 table veg family restaurant replaced printed menus and notepad ordering. Orders now reach the kitchen the moment a guest confirms, evening rush is managed from a single live board, and menu price changes that used to wait for the next print run go live in seconds.
Cafe · Indore
A busy Indore cafe uses counter QRs so weekend guests order from wherever they stand instead of crowding the till. Combos and one tap coupons run their promotions, and the owner checks daily sales and top items from the reports page on his phone.
Hotel restaurant · MP
A hotel property uses room QRs alongside table QRs, so the same system handles the restaurant floor and in room dining. Reception staff see only the order board and bills, exactly what their role needs, while the owner keeps full control.
Want to verify before buying? Message us on WhatsApp and we will arrange a reference call with a current ScanDine restaurant, with their permission. Honest software sells itself.

One flat price: 2,999 rupees per year, per restaurant. No plan tiers, no per table pricing, no feature locked behind a bigger package. Every licence is pure white label with 100 percent super admin access, so the branding, the data and every setting are fully in your hands. Dynamic QR generation is built in: create and tag as many QR codes as you want, for tables, rooms, hotels, counters, indoor seating, outdoor seating, wherever an order can come from.
Compare that honestly with the alternatives. A subscription at 2,000 rupees a month is 72,000 rupees over three years. A commission platform taking even 3 percent of a 50,000 rupee daily turnover costs you more than 5 lakh rupees a year. ScanDine costs 8,997 rupees over the same three years, everything included.

16 · FAQ
It depends on what you measure, and the industry data honestly points both ways on preference. One industry analysis reported that 78 percent of diners favour QR menus, while another large consumer survey found 88 percent still like paper. What is not contested is the economics: digital menus end reprint costs, update instantly, show photos that industry reports link to 20 to 30 percent higher orders, and let guests order without waiting for staff. Many ScanDine restaurants keep a few paper menus for guests who prefer them. The two can coexist; the savings and speed come from the QR.
No. The menu opens directly in the phone browser when the QR is scanned. There is nothing to install and no account to create. On the first order the guest enters a name and a 10 digit mobile number, and after that the menu greets them by name. If a guest refreshes the page mid order, the live order resumes exactly where it was.
Not a monthly one. ScanDine is a simple flat licence of 2,999 rupees per year per restaurant, and the software runs on your own hosting. Beyond that, your only cost is the hosting itself, which for a single restaurant is usually a few hundred rupees a month and often something you already pay for your website. There is no per table pricing and no commission on orders, ever.
Any standard web hosting works, shared hosting included, and the two minute installer sets everything up for you, database included, with zero technical steps. ScanDine runs in a domain root or any subdirectory. Everything, from your menu and photos to order history and customer numbers, lives in your database on your server. You own it completely, and you can back it up or move it whenever you like.
A QR ordering menu is optional, but QR codes themselves are now part of compliance. From mid 2025 FSSAI requires all licensed food businesses to display the Food Safety Connect app QR code prominently, and menu labelling rules since 2022 expect calorie, allergen and veg or non veg information that is far easier to maintain digitally than in print. In short, your guests and the regulator both already expect QRs at the table.
Yes. ScanDine has a menu only QR mode that shows your full digital menu with photos and prices but hides the add buttons, cart and checkout. Guests can still open a dish to read details. Many outlets start in menu only mode to replace printed menus first, then switch on live ordering when the team is ready. The message shown in this mode is editable in Settings.
You set your GSTIN, the GST rate, and whether prices are inclusive or exclusive of tax. Bills print on a 72mm thermal printer with the CGST and SGST split, service charge if you use one, whole rupee round off and a duplicate reprint option. The reports page totals GST collected for any date range and exports to CSV for your accountant.
You get a build zip from us and upload it on the Software Update page inside your own admin panel. The system automatically backs up the current installation, syntax checks every file in the new build, rejects it if anything is broken, and migrates the database. Your menu, settings, images and QR codes are never touched by an update, and a rollback point is saved before anything changes.
Yes. Locations in ScanDine are labelled as tables, rooms or counters, and the label rides with every order on the live board, so reception knows instantly whether an order is for table 6 or room 204. Hotels run room service and the restaurant floor on one system; food courts and cafes use counter QRs for walk up ordering.
We work across the entire country. ScanDine is installed and supported for restaurants, cafes, hotels and food courts in every state of India, from metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune and Ahmedabad to tier 2 and tier 3 towns. Installation happens remotely on your hosting and support runs on WhatsApp and phone, in Hindi or English. Being headquartered in Bhopal with a presence in Indore simply means Madhya Pradesh clients also get in person support.
Judge it the way you would judge a supplier. The product is verifiable: 294 automated tests pass on every build, you can scan a live demo right now, and we will connect you with a running restaurant before you pay. The company is verifiable: MaMITs has operated since 2015, ranks at the top of search results for competitive web design keywords, and has a physical office you can visit in Bhopal. Big platforms have their place; owning your software has a longer one.
It depends on what you value. If you want a large cloud POS with hardware and are happy paying for it every year, one of the national POS suites may fit. If you want the best value QR menu ordering system that you actually own, with pure white label branding, full super admin access, unlimited tagged QR codes and a flat price of 2,999 rupees per year per restaurant, ScanDine is built to be exactly that. We will happily let a live demo and a reference restaurant argue the point for us.
Tag based QRs. In ScanDine you generate a QR for every room, table and counter and tag each one, so an order from room 204 reaches the kitchen labelled room 204 while table 6 stays on the restaurant board. Reception, kitchen and the floor all read one live screen, which is why hotels and resorts are among our fastest growing users.
Yes, and switching is one of the most common ways restaurants come to us. Share your current menu, we load it into ScanDine, set your template, branding and QR codes, and you cancel the old tool only after you are live. Most owners recover the 2,999 rupee yearly licence within a single month of subscription fees they stop paying.
Three ways, all free. Scan the live demo QR on this page and order like a guest would. Message us on WhatsApp for a ten minute walkthrough of the admin panel on your own phone. And if you want real world proof, we will connect you with a restaurant already running ScanDine so you can hear it from an owner directly.
