Weighbridge software from MaMITs, called MaMITs VTS, runs your weighbridge from one Windows PC, anywhere in India. Two cameras read the truck number plate, the weight comes straight from your weighbridge indicator, the net weight is worked out for you, the slip prints with photos, and every entry stays searchable. It needs no internet connection at any step.

Quick summary
Weighbridge software connects the weighbridge indicator to a computer so every truck weighment is recorded automatically instead of being written in a register. MaMITs VTS goes further: it reads the number plate from camera photos, takes the first and second weight, calculates the net, prints a slip with the photos and keeps a record you can search years later. It is installed on your own Windows PC and keeps working when the internet is down.
One truck, start to finish
Here is one truck, from the gate to the report. This is the same order the operator sees on screen, so you can picture a normal day at your weighbridge.

A loaded truck drives onto the weighbridge.
The front and back cameras see the truck. The software reads the plate, for example MP04HE1945, and shows how sure it is. If both cameras read a plate and they do not match, it tells the operator.
Plate read: MP04HE1945The operator picks the material, party and supplier, adds the driver name and mobile, and captures the weight. The software waits until the reading holds steady before it accepts it.
1st weight: 31,860 kgThe truck leaves the platform and shows up in the open vehicles list on the dashboard. Nothing else needs to be written down while it is inside.
Open vehicles: 3When the truck returns, the plate is read again and the software finds its open entry. One click captures the second weight and the net weight appears straight away.
Net: 22,640 kgThe weighment slip prints with the company name and logo, serial number, all the weights, times and the front, back and plate photos. You choose how many copies.
Serial: 000245If you switch the modules on, the entry goes to SAP as IDoc and JSON, to Tally as a voucher, into a GST invoice, or to an email inbox with the slip attached.
Sent to SAP and TallyReal screens
These are real screens from the software, filled with sample data from a grain business near Bhopal. The company name, logo, materials and parties change to yours on the first day.

Made for India
Most weighbridge software sold in India was designed for a clean office, a steady internet line and an operator who types every number. Indian weighbridges rarely look like that. These are the conditions MaMITs VTS was built for.
A mill in one state still weighs trucks registered in many others. The plate reader looks for any Indian state code at the start of the plate, reads the new BH series used by people who move between states, and copes with plates written in two lines.
Weighing never waits for the internet, and the database is written in a crash-safe mode with automatic backups. If the PC loses power in the middle of a shift, the saved entries are still there when it starts again.
Weights are in kilograms, bags are counted the way mills and mandis count them, dates follow the format you pick, and serial numbers keep running without gaps.
The GST invoice splits CGST and SGST for sales in the same state and applies IGST for other states, using the state code in the buyer GSTIN. Tally, which most Indian businesses already use, gets the voucher directly.
Indian weighbridges use many brands of indicator and camera, old and new. The software reads any serial indicator and works with USB and IP cameras, so you rarely need to replace what is already installed.
We install and train over a video call and remote desktop, so a site in any state can start using the software without waiting for a visit.
Number plate reading
Truck plates in India are rarely clean. There is dust, a tilted angle, the IND strip, stickers and sometimes a plate written in two lines. The plate reader in MaMITs VTS was built and tested around exactly that.
In our own test on an ordinary office PC, the fast model read each sample plate in about one and a half to two seconds. Real speed and accuracy depend on your camera, its angle and the light at the weighbridge, which is why we set the cameras up with you during installation.
The reading uses PaddleOCR PP-OCRv4 models that ship inside the installer. Nothing is sent to an online service, so there is no per-scan charge and no waiting on a network.
It ignores text like IND and stickers, looks for the state code and joins the characters around it, so it can read standard plates, BH series plates and two-line plates.
Every read has a confidence score. Below the level you set (85% by default), the operator is asked to check it. The operator can always correct the plate before saving, and each correction is logged.
With a front and a back camera, both plates are read and compared. If they disagree, the screen says so instead of guessing.
Weighbridge indicator
Most weighbridge indicators send the weight over a serial cable. MaMITs VTS reads that signal through RS-232, RS-485, a USB-to-serial adapter or a Bluetooth serial port.
It scans every COM port at the common speeds (9600, 19200, 4800, 2400 and 1200 baud) and shows which port is sending weight.
A weight is accepted once five readings in a row stay within 1 kg of each other, so a truck that is still settling does not get recorded. Both values can be changed.
Indicators send text in different ways. The reading pattern can be set per indicator, so we match it to your model during installation.
If the cable is out, the operator can type the weight. That entry is marked as manual, so it is easy to check later.
Weighment slip
The slip is what the driver and your accounts team carry away, so it holds everything needed to settle a dispute.

Modules
The core is weighing. Everything else is a module you turn on from Settings, so a small mill does not see screens it never uses, and a plant with SAP gets what it needs.
Creates a GST tax invoice from a weighment: net weight times rate, then CGST and SGST for the same state or IGST for another state, decided from the buyer GSTIN. Running invoice numbers and a printable PDF.
Writes a sales or purchase voucher for Tally on every check-out, to a folder or straight to Tally's own XML port on your network. It can also pull ledger names from Tally to fill your party list.
Every completed weighment is exported as IDoc and JSON, to a folder your SAP team picks up, to an HTTP endpoint, or both. Old entries can be sent in one click.
Emails the slip as a PDF to the people you choose when a truck checks out, through your own mail server.
Remembers the empty weight of trucks that come every day, so they only need one pass over the weighbridge.
Warns the operator when the gross weight goes above the limit you set for that vehicle.
Prints a QR code with the serial number and net weight, so a slip can be checked with any phone.
Add your own fields to check-in or check-out, such as moisture, gate pass number or lot number. They print on the slip too.
Never lost: When the internet or SAP server is down, SAP, Tally and email entries wait in a queue and are sent again later. The weighment itself is always saved first, so a network problem never stops the weighbridge.

Who it is for
Any place where trucks are weighed in and out and the numbers turn into money. The workflow stays the same, only the materials, parties and fields change.
Gross, tare and net with bag counts, average bag weight and short or excess bags for every load of paddy or wheat.
Party-wise and material-wise weighing with a printed slip for every farmer or trader, and day-end totals.
Inward and outward loads tied to suppliers and parties, with photos when someone questions a weight.
Front and back photos, serial numbers that cannot repeat and SAP export for plants that run SAP.
Quick check-in and check-out with photo proof for every vehicle that passes the weighbridge.
A public weighbridge can replace the register, calculator and handwritten slip with one screen and a printer.
Data, speed and safety
Many older weighbridge programs keep data in Access or Excel and start to struggle after some thousands of rows. MaMITs VTS stores data in an indexed SQLite database, and we test it with five lakh weighments.
Our speed test fills the database with 500,000 weighments. On an ordinary office PC it counted all of them in 28 ms, found the entries of one vehicle in 230 ms and opened a page 1 lakh rows deep in 30 ms.
The history screen loads 200 rows at a time with Previous and Next, so it opens fast even with years of data.
A backup runs by itself and the last seven are kept by default. You can change how many are kept.
Export everything, data and photos, into one ZIP file. Restore it on another PC by replacing or merging, and a safety backup is taken before any import.
Your entries live in a separate folder from the program, so installing, updating or even uninstalling does not delete them.
Password login, a security question and a one-time recovery key, plus an automatic lock when the PC is left idle.
Compare
A quick look at three ways weighbridges in India are usually run.
| Register and calculator | Basic weighbridge software | MaMITs VTS | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vehicle number | Written by hand | Typed by the operator | Read from camera photos, operator can correct |
| Weight | Read off the display | Usually from the indicator | From the indicator, accepted only when stable |
| Proof of the truck | None | Sometimes one photo | Front, back and plate photos on every entry |
| Internet | Not needed | Often needed for cloud plate reading | Not needed at all |
| Accounts | Copied again later | CSV or paid add-on | SAP, Tally and GST invoice modules |
| Finding an old entry | Turning pages | Slow once data grows | Search and filters, tested at 5 lakh entries |
| Backup | Photocopy of the register | Manual | Automatic, plus a ZIP you can restore anywhere |
Honest limits
It is better you hear this from us before buying than find it out after installation.
How we set it up
Six steps from the first call to trucks being weighed with the new software.
Share your indicator model, how many trucks you weigh in a day, your materials and whether you use SAP or Tally.
We load your company name, materials and parties into the software and walk you through a full weighment on a call.
We suggest where the two camera poles should go and check that your PC and indicator cable are ready.
The installer needs no other software. We connect the indicator, set up the cameras and match the plate reading to your site.
Your operator runs real trucks with us: check-in, check-out, slip printing, history and backup.
Once the basics run smoothly, we turn on SAP, Tally, GST invoice or email if you need them.
Cost
We quote after one conversation because the price depends on your site, not on a fixed list. A single mill with one weighbridge and a printer is a very different job from a plant that needs SAP export and two weighbridges.
What we can say upfront: the plate reading runs on your own PC, so there is no per-scan fee and no monthly cloud bill for it. The software is activated with a licence key for a month or a year, and a one-day key is available for a trial.

Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh moves a huge amount of goods by truck, and almost every load crosses a weighbridge at some point. The state is one of the largest soybean and wheat producers in India, so mandis, oil mills and flour mills weigh trucks through the whole harvest season. Cement plants around Satna, Katni and Maihar, coal and power sites around Singrauli, and industrial areas such as Mandideep near Bhopal and Pithampur near Indore all run weighbridges every day.
Each of these needs something slightly different. A soybean plant cares about moisture and party-wise totals, which is what custom fields and party reports are for. A cement plant cares about SAP export and photo proof of every truck. A mandi needs a quick slip for each farmer and clean day-end figures. Being a Madhya Pradesh company, we already know how these sites work, and we can visit most of them within a day by road from Bhopal.

FAQ
Weighbridge software records every truck that is weighed. It reads the weight from the weighbridge indicator, saves the first and second weight, calculates the net and prints a slip. MaMITs VTS also reads the number plate from cameras and stores photos of every truck.
Yes. Plate reading, weighing, slips, history, reports and backups all run on your PC. Internet is only used if you switch on email or send data to an online SAP endpoint, and even then entries wait in a queue when the connection is down.
Yes. We install, set up and train remotely over a video call and remote desktop, so a weighbridge in any state can use MaMITs VTS. Your local electrician or camera installer handles the poles and cables with our guidance.
It reads any indicator that sends weight over a serial connection: RS-232, RS-485, USB-to-serial or Bluetooth serial. The reading pattern can be adjusted for your indicator model, so tell us the model before installation.
USB cameras and IP cameras. For IP cameras it can search the network (ONVIF) and has ready stream addresses for Hikvision, Dahua, CP Plus and Uniview, and you can enter any RTSP address yourself.
The operator sees the plate and its confidence before saving and can correct it. Reads below the confidence level you set are flagged for checking, and every correction is logged.
Yes. It was built to handle standard plates, the new BH series and plates written in two lines, and to ignore the IND strip and stickers around the plate.
Yes, with the GST invoicing module switched on. It multiplies the net weight by your rate, splits CGST and SGST or applies IGST based on the buyer GSTIN, numbers the invoice and creates a PDF.
Yes. The Tally module sends a sales or purchase voucher for each completed weighment, either as a file or directly to Tally on your network, and it can pull ledger names from Tally.
Each completed weighment is exported as IDoc and JSON to a folder, to an HTTP endpoint, or both. If SAP is not reachable the entry waits in a queue and is sent later. Your SAP team decides how to pick it up.
Yes, with the stored tare module. The empty weight of a regular truck is saved, so next time only the loaded weight is taken and the net is worked out from the stored tare.
We test it with five lakh weighments and it stays quick to search. The database is indexed and the history opens in pages of 200 entries.
Backups run automatically and the last seven are kept by default. You can also export everything, including photos, into one ZIP file and restore it on another PC.
Yes. MaMITs is a Bhopal company, so sites in Madhya Pradesh can get visits for camera planning and installation, and support over phone, WhatsApp or remote desktop.
Yes. For Bhopal, Indore and nearby districts we can plan a site visit for installation and camera placement. Share your location on WhatsApp and we will suggest a date.
Yes. Dharam kanta is the common name for a weighbridge in India, so dharam kanta software and weighbridge software mean the same thing. MaMITs VTS works for private plant weighbridges and public dharam kantas.
It is built for 64-bit Windows 11 and comes as an installer or a portable ZIP that runs from a folder. The installer carries everything it needs, so nothing else has to be installed on the PC.
